AN INTRODUCTION TO ABSTRACT

In a space full of different kind of art, this project has the aim to bring more attention to one special style of art: ABSTRACT. Most people are confronted with the idea of having to “understand” a piece, when in effect, abstract doesn’t ask anything from you, it is the kind of art that frees you from all once learned perceptions. You can create a narrative if you want to, different colors, different forms and different eyes is what makes the perception of it so unique. And regard of what most people do, you can stare at an abstract piece for how long you want, create different worlds and meanings for it as much as you want, change idea, change perspectives, nobody is telling you how to see things, so enjoy it.

HOW IT WORKS

There are 4 different sizes of puzzles (XS, S, M, L) based on the physical oil paintings and a total of 22 puzzles. Complete a puzzle and you will receive the NFT GLTF/GLB file of the whole piece airdroped, with that you can showcase it in VR however and wherever you like. Together with the completed puzzle NFT you will get a PNG file to add to your PFP if wanted. Also, by completing a puzzle you will receive the physical oil painting that the 3D piece was based on, shipped worldwide. *

* painting sizes XS, S and M will be shipped stretched, only the painting L will be shipped unstretched and rolled because of size limitations.

OBJECTIVE

From all written above, this project was created so people can take an extra minute and look more into the forms and colors found in abstract pieces. Each puzzle piece is different, unique, some have more vibrance, others more transparency, other maybe more lines. To put all the pieces together, you need to maybe look twice for it to make “sense” and find the corresponding pieces.*

*This project is also not here to complicate it for the supporters, you can check the pieces needed for each puzzle by clicking on the different images down the page.

ABOUT THE ARTIST

pfp with puzzle.png

Lisanne, also known as Lis, is a physical and digital abstract artist, born in Brazil, lived and studied for over 8 years in Munich, Germany and now currently evolving her skills in Barcelona, Spain. With a background in architecture and stage design and as a painter for over 4 years now, she uses her paintings to a new combination of digital worlds and environments. Inspired by the ocean and its infinite organic creatures, she uses edgeless forms and lines in her artworks. For her oil paintings, she is known for her wet-on-wet technique, which is applied to mix the elements in an expressionist direction, working with a lot of layers too and giving the spectator an endless perspective of “nothing is what it seems”. She is bringing the fine art technique to the digital world and also implementing it on the NFT space, where she is working for the past 8 months, constantly showing new ways of how to present and create abstract art, which also seen in this project, it can be playful, interactive, therapeutic, the art itself fulfills its own purpose by simply existing.
